Full CV

Ana Flores (Mexico City, Mexico/ Newark, Delaware) is a primarily sculptural artist based in San Antonio, Texas. She received her Associate of Arts from Northwest Vista College in 2023 and her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) with a minor in Art History and Criticism from the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) in 2025. Inspired by living organisms’ body parts and environments, as well as man-made objects such as suitcases. Her work explores themes of personal identity and belongingness to the world surrounding her, stemming from a feeling of uncertainty regarding her "home", due to her family moving countries frequently while growing up. The techniques that she goes through when creating her works act as a form of meditation—almost as if she is adapting to the world around her. Through the use of materials such as fabric, thread, steel, and chains, she creates a balance that helps her search for stability and adaptation; a balance within herself and her future. Her work has been exhibited regionally, such as the 94th Juried Artist Exhibition at the San Antonio Art League & Museum, Texas, 1st Bi-Annual Northwest Vista College Art Alumni Exhibition, Texas, and Artovation Student Show 2025 at the Texas Association of School of Arts (TASA).
